Background

Dr. David Cooper joins Spine Team Texas with extensive experience in the fields of Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

His proficiencies include epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation of medial and lateral branches, visceral blocks, trial and permanent placement of spinal cord stimulators, and peripheral joint injections, vertebroplasty, and kyphoplasty.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, and minor in Spanish. In 2011, Dr. Cooper received the Fundamentals of Pain Management Scholarship from the American Pain Society.

In addition to his stellar education, Dr. Cooper dedicates his time and skills to community service. He has volunteered for organizations such as Special Olympics, Allcanski and the UTHSCSA Pain Clinic. His professional affiliations include American Pain Society, Texas Pain Society, and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also completely fluent in conversational, medical, and written Spanish. Outside of work, Dr. Cooper enjoys scuba diving, fencing, running, and spending time with his wife and three daughters. He has a love for music and channels that interest through playing the violin and singing in his spare time.
