Meet Dr. Syed
Dr. Syed specializes in the evaluation and management of pain involving the spine, including disc disorders, nerve pain, arthritis and musculoskeletal pain. He highly values educating patients about their spine, ensuring that each patient has a comprehensive understanding of their condition and the potential treatment options available. He believes in working collaboratively with patients and a team of health care providers to reduce pain and optimize function, with an emphasis on lifestyle modification, rehabilitation, and spinal procedures when indicated.
Dr. Syed has a distinguished background in spine care and pain management. He earned his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Harvard Medical School/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and pursued a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Anesthesiology Institute.
Dr. Syed is an esteemed member of several committees, including the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Ethics Advisory Committee. His commitment to education is evident through his roles as Associate Program Director for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program at MetroHealth and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and as Director of Resident Education in Chronic Pain at MetroHealth.
In addition to his impressive academic and clinical achievements, Dr. Syed has a robust portfolio of publications, abstracts, and posters that reflect his dedication to advancing the field.
Most recently, he has served as an attending physician for Chronic Interventional Pain at the Pain and Healing Center and Spine Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
