Randy Farrer joins Spine Team Texas with 20 years of experience as a certified Physician Assistant. Randy has worked in multiple areas of healthcare including inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, surgical management, and urgent care for both orthopedic and general care. Randy earned his Master of Science Degree with a Certificate in Physician Assistant studies from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX where he was class president of the physician assistant program. He also graduated cum laude from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry.
Prior to joining Spine Team Texas, Randy provided orthopedic care at various health centers in the metroplex. His responsibilities have included the evaluation and treatment of new and follow up patients, long-term management of chronic diseases, and management of inpatient and outpatient surgical patients. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants since (AAPA) and a board member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA). He is certified by the National Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Surgical Specialty Certification from NCCPA, and the American Heart Association, ACLS, BCLS, with AED certification.
