Meet Dr. Darnule
An accomplished physician, Dr. Amit T. Darnule specializes in chronic spine pain management and brings his expertise to Spine Team Texas.
Prior to joining the team, Dr. Darnule completed his fellowship for multidisciplinary pain medicine at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, where he also completed his residency in anesthesiology and an internship in internal medicine. Dr. Darnule finished medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston, graduating summa cum laude.
Dr. Darnule dedicates his time to patient care and education. He has taught several interventional courses on spinal cord stimulation and implantable devices, a cadaver courses in vertebroplasty and discography and is one of the few physicians trained in the new Intracept procedure designed to help patients with back pain from degenerative spinal conditions.
He emphasizes a strong focus on rehabilitative treatments to improve function and lessen patient’s dependence on opioids enlisting the help of mental health professionals and nutritionists when appropriate.

Personal Interests:
- Dedicated to helping those who are less fortunate, Dr. Darnule volunteers his medical skills around the world. In Mexico, he assisted in creating a makeshift clinic for villagers and provided physicals to orphans. Northwestern’s Anesthesia Department selected Dr. Darnule to be a representative in Operation Walk Mission to China, where he assisted in post-operative care and pain management services.
