Meet Dr. Rothbart
As an experienced neurosurgeon, Dr. Rothbart employs the latest minimally invasive techniques for spine surgery and serves as the medical director and founder of Spine Team Texas. He also serves as Chairman of the Board at Texas Health Harris Methodist Southlake Hospital.
Applying years of experience and clinical expertise, Dr. Rothbart focuses on advanced minimally invasive techniques that allow 90% of his surgeries to be performed as outpatient procedures. Despite, Dr. Rothbart remains committed to ensuring that all nonsurgical options have been explored before spine surgery is discussed with a patient. When surgery is determined to be the only source for long-term relief, he employs minimally-invasive techniques that involve smaller incisions and decreased post-operative discomfort. His techniques have provided much-needed relief to many of his patients.
Prior to coming to Texas, he practiced at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and was also an associate professor of neurosurgery at Rush College of Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Rothbart completed his fellowship at the renowned Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. His residency training in neurosurgery was completed at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, where he also served as an instructor in neuroanatomy at Yale.
Dr. Rothbart has many professional affiliations, including ones with the following organizations: American College of Surgeons, American Board of Neurological Surgery, National Board of Medical Examiners, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.
