Meet Dr. Zhang
Dr. Richard Zhang joins Spine Team Texas with extensive experience in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Prior to joining Spine Team Texas, Dr. Zhang completed his residency at UCLA/VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. He interned in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas after earning his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Zhang has participated in numerous research studies at MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and UCLA. He has been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He also wrote abstracts and presented findings at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Annual Assembly, Association of Academic Physiatrists Annual Meeting and California Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Annual Meeting.

- In his spare time, Dr. Zhang enjoys traveling, trying new foods, watching sports, and music. He volunteered as a sideline physician for football games during residency. He enjoys singing and participated at the University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music.
